Ladies Penny and Brianna cordially invite all young ladies to join us for a week of learning about the Victorian Era. Regency Ball dancing, parlor games, cross-stitching, art and tea lessons are just the beginning. We will study American women of the Victorian Age: young ladies will learn about Louisa May Alcott as they hear her stories and we will study the American impressionist, Mary Cassatt, as they study her art! The girls also get to run an escape room as they learn about Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad! We will study the inventions of the Victorian Age such as the telephone, the iron, and the telegraph. We will learn how to brew tea, take care of fine china, and about proper table manners. Finally, the girls get to have a full High Tea on our last day!! Families are invited to join us on the last day at 4:00 for High Tea for $10 per person as we demonstrate our Regency Dances, the Virginia Reel and Pineapple Dance!

The benefits of games for learning math skills has been well documented. This set of 12 (twelve) classes will be reinforcing addition facts and introducing multiplication by 2s and 3s. Games provide motivation, create meaningful situations for practice, develop positive attitudes, increase learning, allow children to operate independently at different levels, provide opportunities for hands-on and interactive experiences, provide opportunity for assessment.
The Brainiac Baroness, a homeschooling mom who has successfully launched four children into the world, will enrich your homeschooling experience by challenging your children to think critically and build skills through music, games and interaction with other kids that you can't always get at home.
